What is Accelerated Reader?
Accelerated Reader is a program designed to rate materials with a readability score to help students and caretakers choose materials of appropriate challenge for the student. It does not evaluate based on content of the material. To look up materials and see if they have been rated, go to www.arbookfind.com. TumbleBook, which is available through our digital library, is a great eBook resource that has many Accelerated Reader titles available on demand.
Register for Accelerated Reader
The Homestead Cybrarium offers the Renaissance Accelerated Reader Program to allow students to take quizzes based on the materials they read so caregivers can evaluate reading comprehension, vocabulary, and other skills. To sign up for the program, a valid Cybrarium Card in either the caregivers name, or the student’s name is required. To register, fill out the Accelerated Reader Student Form and allow 2-3 business days for the form to be processed and the user account to be created. If signing up multiple students, please fill out the form once for each student.
The program is limited to 100 students per session.
The next session will open on January 10th, 2025 and will run until March 31st, 2025.
