The Homestead Cybrarium offers dozens of Virtual Reality Experiences for patrons to immerse themselves in art, travel, history, and science. Virtual reality is a computer generated simulation, allowing the user to experience various environments. Reservations must be made in person at the Cybrarium.
The Cybrarium has a MakerBot Replicator + for 3D printing service.
We use PLA filament for all 3D print requests. To use the 3D printer, fill out a printing request form.
The Cybrarium is pleased to offer laptop and chromebook checkout service to patrons. Patrons will be able to access the Cybrarium’s wireless network, information resources, Cybrarium printers, the Internet and other provided software with a Cybrarium device. The devices must be used in the Cybrarium.
The Cybrarium circulates the devices and power cord if needed; no earphones, external keyboards, external mice, external hard drives, or any other devices will be provided. Patrons may use any personal device that uses a USB connection, including a keyboard, mouse and USB flash drives.
The Cybrarium has 20 hotspots that can be checked out to any adult 18 years of age or older with a Cybrarium card. Hotspots provide fast and reliable 4G Internet service. One hotspot can connect up to 10 devices (phones, laptops, tablets, printers, cameras, etc.) at the same time.
Hotspots are checked out in a carrying case that include the hotspot and a USB charger cable with a cube. Hotspots can be checked out for 7 days and can be renewed 3 times.
